MORTAL KOMBAT
The Mortal Kombat series has been around the gaming scene for years.
Bloody and brutal, this fighter has garnered just as much controversy as it have
fans. The developers at NetherRealm Studios are bringing the series back to its
rootswith the latest Mortal Kombat. If you enjoy gruesome battles and ninjas
with ice powers, you've come to the right place.
FABLE III
spiritual successor to Fable II, though it follows a separate storyline. As a
prince or princess of Albion, you'll lead a revolution against your tyrant brother
and learn that being in charge means making tough decisions.
DUKE NUKEM FOREVER
Nukem first-person shooter franchise. Technically in development for over a
decade, Duke Nukem Forever was resurrected from digital oblivion by
Gearbox, the studio behind the acclaimed shooter Borderlands.
inFAMOUS 2
video game preview, but it's one of the first things Sony and Sucker Punchbring
up as I sit down to see a new story mission from Infamous 2. In looking aways
to improve on the original, they decided to stick with a binary good/evil system,
but instead of leaving it as a meter that you filled with red or blue energy, karma has become two literal relationships. It's a small change but a promising one. Struggling between the two immovable poles of good and evil is part of every great comic book story. Personalizing both ends of the spectrum with two characters who play a continuing part of the story adds new drama where once
there was only a stat aggregator.
L.A.NOIRE
After showing me pretty much an entire mission of L.A. Noire, the Rockstar spokesman put the controller down, recapped what I had seen, and described the detective title as something different for the video game industry -- "a breath of fresh air."
I couldn't agree more.
L.A. Noire casts you as Cole Phelps, a war hero turned police officer in 1947's Los Angeles. It's an open world game where you'll work four different desks in the LAPD, tackle more than 20 cases, and use clues and evidence to bring criminals to justice.
THE WITCHER2
stars Geralt of Rivia as the main character. He's a witcher, which means he gets
special powers and has crazy eyes and white hair. Like many modern
role-playing games, the decisions you make as you move through the game will
affect how events play out.
